IPOANS provides the following registry to assist tenants in verifying that a landlord has taken the “I Rent it Right™” e-Learning program offered through IPOANS and has completed a knowledge test with a passing grade of 80% or higher. The registry is self-registering and non-exhaustive. There may be landlords or rental housing employees that do not appear in the registry.

Anyone contemplating engaging any person or organization listed in the registry should make their own enquiries and assessments with respect to the ability and suitability of that person or organization to provide the services they purport to provide. Persons and organizations listed in the registry are not approved by nor in partnership with IPOANS. The IPOANS Landlord Registry is not in any way meant to be a recommendation or endorsement for landlords but rather is only a means for tenants to check that their landlord has taken a course that provides a basic overview of residential tenancy laws and best practices in Nova Scotia.

IPOANS makes no representation or warranty regarding the ability or suitability of any person or organization listed in the registry to provide the services they advertise or that the services they provide necessarily result in compliance with any law affecting a relationship between a residential landlord and tenant in Nova Scotia including but not limited to the Residential Tenancy Act and regulations thereto.

In no event shall IPOANS be liable for any damages or losses of any type suffered by any user of the registry who engages a person or organization listed in the registry from any cause whatsoever arising from or in any way related to the services provided by those listed on the registry.

IPOANS reserves the right to remove any person or organization from the list. The list is subject to change at any time.
